We’re looking for motivated candidates who have completed MSc in Life sciences /Pharmacy (MPharm)/ Chemistry/ Biotechnology and/or 4-year Biotech graduates.

  • Candidates who have cleared national-level Fellowship Examinations (viz. CSIR-UGC/DBT/ICMR NET-JRF) or secured credentials for the DST-INSPIRE fellowship will be given preference.
  • Interested Candidates having qualified NET-LS/GATE may also contact – souvik.dey@manipal.edu
  • Others may appear for Dr. TMA Pai PhD Scholarship examination and interview (conducted twice a year by Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal).

1. We are glad to share that Ms. Neha Choudhari has been awarded the Best Poster Research Paper Presentation award at the International Conference on ReproNext: Emerging Horizons in Reproductive Health Research 2025, held during 11–13 Dec 2025 and organized by ICMR–NIRRCH, Mumbai, along with the Society for Reproductive Biology and Comparative Endocrinology (SRBCE) 

2. We are pleased to announce that Ms. Aditi Khamamkar, Dr. TMA Pai Research Scholar at the Department of Biotherapeutics Research (DBR), Manipal Academy of Higher Education, presented her poster “Selective Inhibition of GSK3α and Calcineurin: Exploring non-hormonal strategies to disrupt sperm function for reversible male contraception” and received a Special Mention Award at the ISSRF Global Summit on Innovations in Reproductive Biology: Emerging Frontiers and Discoveries & 36th Annual Meeting of the Indian Society for the Study of Reproduction and Fertility (ISSRF 2026), held from 20–22 February 2026 at the Department of Zoology, Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi.  

3. We are glad to share that Mr. H S Anirudh Srinivas has been awarded the Best Poster Award for his poster titled “Age-dependent transcriptional dynamics and functional heterogeneity of human testicular Leydig cells” at the ISSRF Global Summit on Innovations in Reproductive Biology: Emerging Frontiers and Discoveries & 36th Annual Meeting of the Indian Society for the Study of Reproduction and Fertility (ISSRF 2026), held during 20–22 Feb 2026 and organized by the Department of Zoology, Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi, India.

1. Ms. Aditi Khamamkar, a PhD scholar from our research group, secured 3rd Place for Scientific Presentation in the Life Sciences Cluster in the Manipal Quest 2.0 held on 20th-21st September 2025 in Manipal, Karnataka, India.

2. Ms. Aditi Khamamkar has been awarded the prestigious ‘DBT-CTEP International Travel Grant’ to attend the 41st Annual Meeting of the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE), to be held in Paris, France, from June 29 to July 2, 2025.

3. Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Manipal, invites applications for the position of Junior Research Fellow for the DBT-funded project titled “Investigation on the Cohesive Roles of Glycogen Synthase Kinase 3 alpha and FTO in Regulation of Mammalian Spermatogenesis” for duration of 3 years, at the Manipal Centre for Biotherapeutics Research (MCBR), MAHE, Manipal.

Two PhD scholars, Ms. Neha Choudhary and Mr. Rounak Roy, from our research group, received the prestigious ‘2025 ASA Trainee Travel Award’ & ‘ICMR-DHR International Fellowship’ and ‘2025 NIH International Travel Award’ & ‘DBT-CTEP International Travel Grant’ respectively, to attend the Joint Congress of the American Society of Andrology and the International Congress of Andrology, at Washington D.C., USA, from March 29 to April 1, 2025.

Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Manipal, invited applications for the position of Project Research Scientist I (Non-Medical) for the ICMR Extramural project titledStudy on the Pharmacological Inhibition of Human Sperm GSK3a and Calcineurin on Fertilization Parameters to Develop Male Contraceptives” for duration of 3 years, at the Manipal Centre for Biotherapeutics Research (MCBR), MAHE, Manipal.

Our research group at MCBR, in collaboration with Agilent Technologies India Pvt. Ltd., organized a 4-day hands-on workshop on FPLC and Bio-LC from July 24-27, 2024, providing participants with immersive training in advanced chromatographic techniques for Biotherapeutics research.
